Let Me Sign – Robert Pattinson Cover

Hello World!

So this is my first blog post. With my debut album coming out soon there is a lot of new content being created on the web around me as an artist and I thought a blog had better be a part of that. I suppose I’d better start at the beginning…

I am an English singer/songwriter from Gloucestershire. I’m never sure what to say when the classic ‘Who are your influences?’ question comes up (as it inevitably does) but if I had to say I guess the closest musical comparison would be a mix between Damien Rice and Muse with a bit of Tom Mcrae thrown in. I like to think there is something original in there as well though.

The album is more of a culmination of influences from various situations throughout my life. It is made up of songs from as long ago as four years to tracks that are very recent, yet they all maintain a certain level of relevance no matter the age. I assume that if you are reading this then you probably will have heard the album and I hope that some of the themes were relatable to you as personally I find I always enjoy music much more when I relate to the ideas and the words being portrayed. It’s something I definitely consider when writing songs.

Hopefully that will give you a brief introduction to the website and to me as an artist. Thanks for reading and look out for future posts. Be sure to check out the album and feel free to post any thoughts, opinions or questions as they are always welcome.

Thanks

Jamie
